How a School Field Trip Added Cauliflower to Our Garden

This year, we have some cauliflower in our garden. We have never grown it before, but I'm excited about having a new plant in the garden this year.

A couple weeks ago, my sons were scheduled to attend a field trip at The STEM Connection. The STEM Connection is located on Moore Road Farm and is bordered by Eagle Creek. Due to the weather, they had a reverse field trip instead which meant The STEM Connection staff came to their school.

Since I already took a personal day to attend the field trip, I went ahead and attended the reverse field trip at their school. One of the sessions was about vegetables and fruit. The students had the opportunity to study the plants above, but The STEM Connection staff did not want to take the plants back with them. Now, they are in our garden.

We eat cauliflower from time to time, so I hope it grows successfully. As always, we will keep you in the loop.

Remember, anyone can be a gardener. You just need to get ready, get set, and grow!
